06/03/2006: Court of Al'Afaz completely cleared - Sunchild and Black Queen Dead!

Last night, Beegy's raiding force finally achieved the complete clearance of the Courts of Al'Afaz. Sunchild proved troublesome initially, so he was left until last, we went and killed the Black Queen with minimal trouble (and a server first Dark Robe of the Magistrate), then doubled back to finish off Sunchild. Well done to everyone there!

05/03/06: 3rd floor reached of Poet's Palace: Return

Today Beegy's raiding force made it all the way to the 3rd floor of Poet's Palace: Return, killing 6 named on the way. Additionally, upon reaching the 3rd floor we found The Ring, meaning the first two floors will be much easier next time :-)

After a number of close calls, today we finally beat the Courts of Al'Afaz.
We tried Sunchild fairly early in the raid, but were not quite able to defeat him. We did however reduce him to 16% health:
We decided we might be best served by clearing the rest of the zone then returning...
We honed our tactics on the Black Queen, managing to defeat her for the first time (and getting a server discovery on the Dark robe of the magistrate):
Then we returned to Sunchild, and soundly beat him. It was a very satisfying feeling, after all the times he'd killed us :-) This was a great result, and everyone on the raid really did a fantastic job. Congratulations!
